Course description:

This course will provide you with an understanding of the main concepts of contaminated land relevant to councils. The course covers:

·       What is contaminated land?

·       Legislative frameworks and councils' roles

·       Overview of contaminated land guidelines and resources

·       High level overview of the contaminated land assessment, remediation and management process

·       Understanding the contaminated land site auditors', and certified consultants' schemes and their relevance for councils

·       The role of council contaminated land policies, procedures and information systems
