Course Description:

This course goes through the steps in the contaminated land assessment, remediation and management process. For each step, we will talk about the objective, key inclusions, and relevance to councils' roles in contaminated land. The course covers:

·       Overview of the CLM Act and framework of guidance documents

·       Overview of each step in the contaminated land assessment, remediation and management process:

·       Preliminary Site Investigations

·       Sampling and Analysis Quality Plans

·       Detailed Site Investigations

·       Site Specific Risk Assessments and Modelling

·       Remedial Action Plan

·       Remediation and Validation

·       Ongoing Management and Monitoring
